A lot of American towns would run into this issue as well as many of the lines run from one side of town to the other. If the routes are far too long, then we can do what X10 team did with some of the X10 routes (110, N84, N10, N12, the M routes, X1, for example) and just have them truncate earlier than they do IRL or even skip entire portions of the map. In my opinion, we could use more historical DLCs as well, and there seems to be a market for older buses and trams as far as DLC for this sim is concerned, but the research needed might be a little much.Īgain, back to the size argument, Berlin and Hamburg are both massive cities in their own right, and we only have maybe not even near 10% of those done (and most of that is the southwest and western sides for Berlin.) Berlin, for example we are still missing much outside of where the wall stood, and only dipping its toes in small areas outside of the city limits when it does.

Chicago, like LA is also absolutely massive, but like we have in OMSI, only a small slither of what actually is there as far as Chicago is concerned. I myself would have loved to have seen them go out to parts like Archer Heights or even a route going down through Milwaukee Ave.Įven more exciting could be to see them do the Los Angeles Railway streetcar system as it appeared in the late 40s. Chicago as it exists in the sim is only a tiny portion that most tourists go out and see. Well, Chicago too has some long straightaways, and like LA, some gnarly traffic too (which had to be turned down in the SIM, though you can turn it up even more if you wanted.) Doing a portion of it could make sense.

You're better off simply installing a bus driver mod for GTAV. Additionally, LA would be an extremely difficult city to recreate in OMSI owing to its long sight-lines and heavy traffic. It would require people to take an extended trip to LA to conduct research (as was the case with Chicago).
